Tsuyoshi 　

Tsuyoshi's father is　草弓剪昌典 and mother is 由美子.　 Tsuyoshi is the eldest child in the family. He has one sister and one brother.　 His sister, 芳加, is just 1 year younger than he is, so they are quite close.　 On the other hand, his brother, 浩之, is 9 years younger than he is.

Tsuyoshi was born in 四國, 愛媛縣 (where is also his mother's homeland).　 When Tsuyoshi was 2 years old, due to change of job, the whole Kusanagi family moved to Tokyo, 琦玉縣, 武里團地六街區.

Tsuyoshi's father is a businessman while his mother is a housewife.　 Like most of the father in a family, Tsuyoshi's father is straight to his son.　 He always wanted Tsuyoshi to be a 'strong' boy.　 He asked Tsuyoshi to learn 'Japanese fencing' while Tsuyoshi was just a kindergarten kid.　 One of Tsuyoshi's classmates remembered that Tsuyoshi once cried that he didn't want to practice but was scold by his father.

Tsuyoshi's father also asked Tsuyoshi and his sister to learn writing.　 He was a traditional father and wanted to bring up his children well.

Tsuyoshi looked like his mother.　 And once Tsuyoshi mentioned that his girlfriend must be similar to his mother.　 He loves his mother very much.　 His mother took really good care on Tsuyoshi and his sister.　 She prepared everything for Tsuyoshi.　 For example, daily meals, put the nametag on every hat of Tsuyoshi, wrote his name on every book.　 And she took Tsuyoshi to the bus stop every day.　 As a result, Tsuyoshi and his mother are close.　 Even in the earlier year in SMAP, Tsuyoshi got used to phone to his mother everyday.　 In one interview, while the crews were trying to visit Tsuyoshi𠏋 home, he was still sleeping.　 (That was early in the morning.)　 His mother greeted the crew, then went to wake Tsuyoshi up, and hurry to his room to clear the room for him.　 She kept on apologizing that Tsuyoshi's room was a mess, such a good mother!

Both Tsuyoshi and his sister are good at sports, and she is a pretty girl.　 Tsuyoshi𠏋 little brother, as mentioned above, is 9 years younger than Tsuyoshi.　 As a result, on his first day to primary school, this little brother was crowded with many 'aunts' who wanted to know who is Tsuyoshi Kusanagi.　 As that time, SMAP was famous.　 Poor little boy, he might be scared.

Tsuyoshi and Goro were schoolmates in the high school.　 SMAP became popular while they were in the high school, they were very busy.　 However, Tsuyoshi still could get an award that he had never been late for school.　 Tsuyoshi was very hardworking and he was a good student.

Tsuyoshi is not living with his family now.　 Once in SMAPxSMAP ending part and in magazines, other members complained that Tsuyoshi never invited others to his flat.　 Tsuyoshi explained that his neighbor do not know that he is a star�.　 They think that he is just a student or a clerk in an office.
