第一場

業務日誌

二月六日

有谷，二十八歲，Suntory Hall清掃員，第一天寫他的業務日誌，但他只是寫上“工作完成”。 所以他的係長在返答時叫他寫多一點。

第二天有谷便寫上”今天沒特別事情發生。“ 係長便叫有谷可以寫一些和工作有關的事情，於是有谷便開始寫他的”日記“。  有谷發現了一頭流浪貓，他叫那貓作”有谷二號“，并餵牠吃東西。 係長說他亦喜歡貓。 另外，係長很喜歡在結尾時寫上[日日是精進](即每天也要專心致志去工作)。
 

二月十二日

明天便是[樁姬]第一天公演的日子，係長叫有谷要好好清潔。

有谷提到在女洗手間看到有人留言，係長叫他不要理會，好好的徹底清理好。

有谷發現不見了有谷二號，係長和他很擔心。
 

二月十八日

有谷在女洗手間內看到”樁“第一次留言，說她認識了一個她認為是結婚對像的古田君。 她很高興。 今天他們一起來看[樁姬]。 [樁姬]是樁很喜歡的歌劇。

第二場

六月四日

有谷昨天去了係長的家玩，并了解到係長所謂[日日是精進]的意思。 明天[樁姬]第二次公演。係長托有谷為他找一隻貓來養。
 

六月六日

有谷在女洗手間再發現樁的留言，她再來看[樁姬]。 而且她會和古田君去探望古田君的父母,她有點緊張。
 

六月九日

樁在女洗手間內留下一張便條，訴說她去了古田君家的狀況。 原來樁在學時曾做過”援助交際“，而古田君的父親曾是她的客人。 所以他想樁離開他的兒子。 樁便訴說她和茶花女原來很相似。

第三場

業務日誌

九月二日

係長已養了四隻貓，并命名為有谷二至五號。 明天是[樁姬]第三度公演的日子。
 

九月五日

樁再一次在女洗手間內留下便條，因她發現有人看了她的便條，她想訴訴苦。 原來樁病倒了，而且病情不輕，已住進了醫院。 但她實在太喜歡看[樁姬]，於是要求醫生讓她去看。
 

九月八日

今天開始係長升了做”部長“，新的係長叫真壁。 但真壁不像係長那樣，不接受有谷把業務日誌做成日記那樣，他要有谷好好的寫好”業務日誌“。 有谷想叫真壁嘗試理解他和係長在做什麼，但真壁絕對不接受。

第四場

十二月二十二日

[樁姬]第四度在SUNTORY HALL公演。古田君去了找有谷，知道他知道樁的事件。 古田君發現他是喜歡樁的，亦不介意她的過去，但他已找不到樁，於是來找有谷，看看他知不知樁的下落。 於是有谷向真壁請求可在明天出去一會， 和古田君一起去各醫院找樁。 但真壁以明天有SUNTORY HALL的老闆到來而不準有谷走開。
 

十二月二十三日

有谷不理真壁，在下午和古田君去了找樁。 真壁大怒，說要解僱有谷。

幸好前係長(部長)插手，有谷沒被解僱。 部長還叫有谷多走幾間醫院去找樁。 可是，他們已找不到樁。。。。

部長的貓開枝散葉，現已有十二頭了。

一月十五日

在SUNTORY HALL上演新的劇目”蝶蝶夫人“。

有谷在業務日誌內寫上”今天打掃完畢“。 他已不再寫”日記“了。

The first section

"The diary"

6 February

The cleaning guy ("A" for the following), 28 years old, responsible to clean the toilets in Suntory Hall, writes his working diary for his first day of work.  He just wrote "work completed".  His senior ("B" for the following) asked him to write more details.

The second day A wrote "nothing specially happened today."  B asked A to write more about his work, so A started writing his diary.  A found a cat in the hall, he called the cat "A the second", and he gave it some food.  B told A that he also likes cats.  B likes to write "have to work hardly" at the end of his comments.
 

12 February

Tomorrow will be the first day for [Tsubaki-Hime], B asked A to clean the toilets properly.

A found someone writing on the walls in the toilets, B asked A to clean them all.

A did not see the cat for a few days, both A and B were worried about it.
 

18 February

A girl called "Tsubaki" ("T" for the following) leaving a message in the toilet.  She mentioned that she met a boy who might be her husband.  She was happy and they came to watch the opera today.  [Tsubaki-Hime] is T's favorite opera.

The second section

"The diary"

4 June

A went to B's home yesterday and got the meaning why B always says "have to work hard".  Tomorrow is the second time [Tsubaki-Hime] showing in Suntory Hall.  B asked A to find a cat for him.
 

6 June

A found T's message in the toilet again.  She went to watch the opera.  Tomorrow she will go to her boyfriend's home to meet his parents, she was excited.
 

9 June

T left a memo in the toilet.  She said that she went to her boyfriend's home and found that his father was one of her "customers" when she was a prostitute in high school.  As a result, the father demanded T to leave his son.  T said that she and the actress in the opera was alike.

The third part

"The diary"

2 September

B has already kept 4 cats at home and he named them A the second to A the fifth.  Tomorrow is the first day for the third time [Tsubaki-Hime] showing in Suntory Hall.
 

5 September

T left a note in the toilet, cause she knew that someone read her note, she would like others to know her story.  T was sick and went into the hospital.  However, she liked watching [Tsubaki-Hime] too much that she begged the doctor to let her to watch the opera.
 

8 September

B is promoted to be the head of the department and a new senior comes ("C" for the following). However, C did not accept A using the working diary as his own diary.  He demanded A to write the diary properly.  A tried to ask C to understand what he and B are doing, but C did not accept at all.

The forth section

"The diary"

22 December

This is the forth time [Tsubaki-Hime] held in Suntory Hall.  The boyfriend of T went to find A, cause he knew that A knew something about T.  The boy found that he really like T and did not mind her past, but he could not find T.  So he went to meet A and checked if A knew where T would be.  A asked C to grant him a half day off tomorrow, so that he would accompany the boy to find T.  However, C did not agree as some important persons would come.
 

23 December

A ignored C and went with the boy to find T.  C was angry and would like to fire A.

B intervened and A kept his post.  B asked A to go to more hospitals in order to find T. On the other hand, they could not find T at last.....

B now gets 12 cats at home.

1 January

Anther opera was held at Suntory Hall.

A wrote "work done" in the working diary, he did not write his own diary anymore.
