Just some notes
re my experience for Tsuyoshi's play~~~~~
TSUYOSHI IN KAMATA KOHSHINKYO
(®ú¥Ð¦æ¶i¦±)
While I knew that Tsuyoshi got the chance to
participate in a play in Japan, I was quite excited. But I did not
thinking of going to Japan to watch the play. There are two reasons,
first, the timing, I have to work. Second, (and more important),
I don't know Japanese at all. How can I watch a play with no 'sub-titles'?
But, by chance, I got a free air-ticket, and
encouraged by other SMAP fans, I decide to go to Japan for Tsuyoshi's play.
Though I don't know Japanese, I still want to give a little support to
Tsuyoshi.
I got some information re the play through Internet.
The play shows at Bunkamura – Theatre Cocoon from 5 to 27 March 1999.
Bunkamura is in Shibuya, next to Tokyo Department Store. All the
reserved tickets are fully booked, we can try to phone to book the 'today's
tickets' three hours before the play start. So, we decide to try
our luck.
I arrived at Tokyo on 20 March 1999 and the
first place to go sure was Bunkamura. Ooops, bad luck, all the tickets
were sold out. There were some "bad guys" selling 'yellow-cow' (mark-up
priced) tickets outside the theatre. But the cost was 20,000 yens!
Too expensive. We decided to try next day.
However, due to the fact that 20 to 22 March
1999 were holidays in Japan, we couldn't even phone to book the tickets.
The line was always engaged. Did we really have to buy the 'expensive'
tickets from the 'bad guys'?
Luckily, ¬Ó¤Ñ¤£t¦³¤ß¤H,
we booked the tickets on 23 March 1999 through the phone! Hurray!
We were requested to go to the theatre before
6:30 p.m. Then, by quoting the booking number, we were assigned a
place on a queue. (Yes, there's a queue for 'today's tickets' but
everyone has his own 'place'. The 'place' was according to the time
you phoned for booking.) The lady there told us that all the 'seats'
were taken for that day, but there were still some 'standing places'.
'Standing places'? I.e. we have to stand for nearly 3 hours?
Ok, ok, no problem at all for Tsuyoshi ne!
The 'standing places' were sold at 4,000 yens
for the first floor and 3,000 yens for the second floor. Luckily
we phoned quit early to the theatre (actually we phoned from 3:50 p.m.
till we got the line, we've tried for at least 30 minutes), we got the
9th and 10th places. We 'stood' at the right side of the first floor.
The theatre is very small, I think there're
only around 500 seats (or fewer). So even we were standing, we could
'see' the actors quite clear on stage!
Woo, we saw two Johnny's juniors. Sorry,
we didn't know their names, but the girls in the theatre were excited and
stood up and took a look at them. As the theatre was really small,
you can image if you meet the other SMAP members there……… the audience
were so lucky to meet them ne!
At 7:15 p.m., the play started………
There was no break during the play. The
play ended at around 9:30 p.m.
TSUYOSHI
WAS SO GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
As mentioned, though I am still trying my best
to get more understanding re the play, I think Tsuyoshi's performance is
really really good! I don't know how to 'appreciate' a play but I
think Tsuyoshi used his voice and facial expression quite well.
Not until I saw the play I know the reason why
Tsuyoshi lost his voice. Similar to other play and musical, the actors/actresses
do not use 'mic'. They just 'shout out'. In some senses, Tsuyoshi
was getting angry and he shouted loudly.
Tsuyoshi wore the same set of clothes all along
the play. Per my friend, Tsuyoshi should be acting like the 'middle
man'; he links up the whole play. I think he even 'show up' more
frequent than Mr. Kazukiyo Nishikiori. Sometimes only Tsuyoshi was
on stage and spoke a few lines……… In one sense, only he and the actress
acted for 30 minutes. To me, it is a bonus ne! Haha!
I think there was a very touching part as we
noted that many girls and ladies around were crying ! (Sorry, I really
don't know la !)
The last part, all the actors/actresses wore
in white suits and sang and dance, really well! Tsuyoshi was very
handsome la! (Totoro nearly fainted!)
The curtain was then up for three times and
all the audience stood up and clapped their hands, sure Totoro clapped
hardly! Tsuyoshi even waived his hands and said hello to his fans.
Did he see Totoro waiving her hands too?! Heehee……
There is a flower shop in Bunkamura; you can
order a basket of flower to Tsuyoshi at around 8,000 yens. Sure Totoro
did so. Hope that Tsuyoshi like the flowers. But, but, the
shop owner did not know how to write Tsuyoshi's name! Woo……
Thought we had to stand for nearly 3 hours,
we did not feel tired at all, as we can always see Tsuyoshi on stage!
So, next time, any of your favor SMAP member participates in a play, try
to get a ticket and support him. It's really worth ne! (Coming
will be Goro's film; will it be difficult to get the tickets for the 'first
show'?)
Just a little complain that Tsuyoshi always
stood on the right hand side of the stage. We, who stood on the right
side, always had to lead ourselves to watch Tsuyoshi la! (Danger,
danger, we will fall onto the floor!)
Totoro must thank May
for taking Totoro to the theatre, phoning to book the ticket (as Totoro
is totally a Japanese idiot) and standing for 3 hours with me. And
more important, May is not a Tsuyoshi fan, she is a big fan of Takuya ne.
