Hikaruko was having her breakfast at home. The phone rang, her assistant picked up the phone but no one answer. In the office, the office girl found a strange fax and presented that to the boss. The fax was about Hikaruko. Someone knew what Hikaruko was doing for the whole day. So they were all worried about her. The boss and the manager decided to call the police. As a result, few policemen acted as the body guides of Hikaruko and followed her everywhere.

The boss at the ham company was excited as they will hold the annual ham store at a temple. They said that was really fun in the fair at the temple. The boss assigned the girl as the lady at the store. And he assigned Sosuke to accompany her.

Sosuke went to the store room to check the ham. The girl came in and told him that she got the discount coupon for a newly opened Italian restaurant. She would like to invite Sosuke to go. However, Sosuke told her that he should be busy for the fair and could not go with her. The girl was disappointed and Sosuke then found that he might be too cruel to the girl.

Hikaruko found that the body guides really followed her everywhere and she felt uncomfortable. However, both the boss and her manager told her that she was in danger as someone might attack her. Then the boss agreed to arrange a home party for her. Hikaruko thought of ham sandwich….

The next morning, Sosuke was late at work. His boss then asked if he knew about Hikaruko’s news. Sosuke did not know at all. At that moment, the manager of Hikaruko came in. Are you going to invite us as Hikaruko's guides?” The boss asked. Not.But I would like to make an order.” Oh, you are welcome.” Sosuke took him to the sofa and introduced him various kind of ham. Hikaruko will hold a home party this Sunday and would like to invite Sosuke to be the chef.” The manager told Sosuke. Home party? Chef?”The others were amazed. After work, they gathered around and started of thinking Hikaruko’s home. What will be the color of Hikaruko’s home? Peach?” No, I think it should be pink.” They got many ideas. Anyway, Sosuke, here is a camera. Remember to take some photos of her home.” The boss gave Sosuke a camera. No, no, I should not do so.” Sosuke was reluctant to do so.

On Sunday, Sosuke went to Hikaruko’s home. The guides checked his bags. Sorry for being so, but it’s for security.” The manager explained. That’s ok.”After Sosuke went into the room, the boss, then the rest of the colleagues, appeared at the front door. We are the assistants of Sosuke.” The manager was a little bit unhappy but still let them all in. Sosuke was shocked when he came to the living room of Hikaruko’s. It is so beautiful and deluxe.”All were amazed. Hello.”Hikaruko greeted them. Then her assistant led them to the kitchen, where there were two chefs for other food for the party.

Then the colleagues found that it was quite boring at the party because they knew nobody and no one took care of them. Sosuke and the girl were busy in preparing the food. Then, Hikaruko’s colleague, Ann-chan, found them. She invited them to have a drink.

Sosuke took the sandwich to Hikaruko.Hikaruko said it was delicious. Sosuke was happy. Hikaruko said that she really likes eating ham. Then Sosuke told Hikaruko that the next Sunday they will have a store at the temple’s fair.And said that the fair will be fun. Hikaruko said she really would like to go. Then the manager of Hikaruko asked her to meet a designer. She also told Sosuke that he was not the guest of the party, he was just the chef. Sosuke was unhappy.

Sosuke and his colleagues (without the girl) went to Sosuke’s home to have another drink. This is called a home party.”The boss said.“The previous one at Hikaruko’s home was boring.”Yes, seems that we are really from a different world. Sosuke, let me remind you, it will be hard if you really want Hikaruko to be your girlfriend.” The doctor reminded Sosuke. No, no, I have never thought of…” Sosuke said so….

However, Sosuke could not go to sleep in the night.He though of what the doctor had said. He went up and decided to… The next morning, he asked the girl in the office if she still got the discount ticket of the Italian Restaurant, as he would like to go with the girl. The girl was very happy. After work, they went to the restaurant. The girl told him that she got various discount coupons and he agreed to go with her next time to another restaurant. They had a happy night. When they left the restaurant, the boss with the other two guys saw them.

When Sosuke was home, he found that he got 25 voice mails from the phone. He was happy and prepared to check if who called him. Hikaruko desu. Hikaruko. Hey, it’s Hikaruko…”The phone rang again. So Sosuke picked that up. It’s Hikaruko.” Yes, I am Sosuke. Hikaruko, you’ve called 25 times to my home.”“25 times? I don’t remember if I’ve made so many calls.” Anyway, why do you call me?” Sosuke asked. Where have you been tonight? Ah, I would like to ask you to prepare the ham sandwich for me again, will you?’ Hikaruko asked. Sosuke was a little bit angry and he said, “No, sorry, I would not make any sandwich for you. By the way, I had a date tonight with the girl in my office. Though I do not like her at this moment, she is a nice girl. So I think I will like her someday in the future.” Oh, have a date…. Oh, really sorry for bothering you. Bye then.”Hikaruko felt a little bit lost.

On Sunday, the team went to the temple.However, it was raining.The boss was still excited and said that the rain would stop soon. He asked other to work on. However, rain poured down and they had to go back to the office.

On the other hand, Hikaruko would like to go to the fair to meet Sosuke. However, the body guides were with her still.She went to the toilet and though of a method. She exchanged the clothes with the clean lady in the toilet and went away. However, she did not know that a strange man was following her. She went to a boutique and changed her clothes. She then went to the temple happily.

The manager called Sosuke and checked if Hikaruko went to see him. Sosuke said no.Then he thought of the point that Hikaruko might go to the temple herself. So he ran to the temple at once…..

Sosuke found Hikaruko at the temple.At the same time, that strange man appeared and shouted, “Go away.Hikaruko is mine.I am a big fan of her and I love her.”Both Sosuke and Hikaruko were shocked.I know that you are her fan.” Sosuke tried to clam that man down.But you don’t know what I feel, as you do not like her.”The crazy fan shouted at Sosuke. I know, because I like her too.”Sosuke said. He continued, “I like her because she is a nice girl. She appeared what I made for her. She encouraged us to complete our mission. She worried about me when I lost faith in my archery test. She took my broken bow and asked someone to amend for me.All these things make me like her.But I do not like her identity of a star.” I don’t know what you mean. Anyway, Hikaruko, please come with me.” The crazy man approached to them. All of a sudden the manager of Hikaruko arrived and arrested the strange man.

Thanks.”Hikaruko told Sosuke. Don’t you know that it is very dangerous to do so? You should not do so again. You cannot do what you want and do not consider what the others’ feeling.” Sosuke yelled at Hikaruko. All I want is to meet you and the ham fair…Sorry about that.”Hikaruko would like to cry. Sosuke found that the girl ran after him to the temple too. So he walked towards her, who took Sosuke’s jacket for him, and they left. Sosuke was angry.

Hikaruko was very unhappy when seeing Sosuke and the girl left….

This is the first time Totoro try to write down the story. However, my Japanese is still weak. Please forgive me if there is any mis-interpretation. Besides, I only write down bits of the story, not a detailed one. Sorry.
