Leo-san went to see Hikaruko and her boss.  He wrote a new script called "the fortune chair".  After he watched Hikaruko's play, he thought that she was suitable to be one of the actresses in this new film.  However, the role was not the major one, the boss of Hikaruko did not want her to take it.  On the other hand, Hikaruko would like to take it as Leo-san is a famous director and she would like to take this challenge.

The colleagues found that Sosuke did not go to watch the play and asked why.  Sosuke told them that it was Hikaruko who did not want him to go.  Besides, he should forget her and work hard from now on.

Hikaruko and Ann-chan were shooting a new drama in a noodle shop.  Ann-chan kept on forgetting her lines and NG, Hikaruko had to eat a lot of noodle.  She felt sick at last and got fainted.  A doctor was in the shop so he took Hikaruko to his clinic nearby.  He was actually a doctor for the animals.

In the pub, the colleagues kept on saying Hikaruko, Hikaruko... Sosuke said that he would not care.  However, he was a little bit drunk.  At home, while he was washing his face, the phone rang.  The answering machine was on.  "I am Hikaruko...."  Hikaruko called Sosuke but she did not know what to say.  On the other side, Sosuke was quite confused by Hikaruko's call.

The boss of Hikaruko went to visit the doctor with Hikaruko and the manager.  They noted that the doctor liked traveling and like eating ham.  So the boss suggested a party for the doctor and Hikaruko.  She would like to give a chance for Hikaruko and the doctor.  However, Hikaruko told the boss that she likes Sosuke and she learned a lot from him.  The boss then gave up to force Hikaruko.

Hikaruko called the ham company and would like to order ham for the party.  (Actually she would like to talk with Sosuke.)  The others asked Sosuke to answer the call, but Sosuke denied that he was busy and would not pick up.  Hikaruko was disappointed.  The others told Sosuke, "this is your last chance, don't miss it."

The next day, they went to the restaurant.  The boss of Hikaruko came up to Sosuke, "though you are still not the guess of this party, hope you enjoy it."  Hikaruko was happy to see Sosuke and she would like to talk to him.  However, there was always someone who came up to her.  Then Tsugomi found Hikaruko, she took the guy of the ham shop with her and came up to Hikaruko.  "Hikaruko, I am no longer Sosuke's girlfriend, he is my new boy friend."  However, Hikaruko found that Sosuke went away.

Sosuke and his boss took the ham and sandwiches upstairs where they met the doctor.  The doctor got the sandwich.  The manager of Ann-chan told Sosuke that the doctor went well with Hikaruko.

Hikaruko eventually found Sosuke and followed him to the kitchen, while the boss of Sosuke was there.  Hikaruko told Sosuke that she actually would like to meet Sosuke again.  When she knew that Sosuke did not show up in the play, she was disappointed.  She would like to talk with Sosuke and asked Sosuke to wait for her after the party.  After Hikaruko went away, the boss told Sosuke to get the chance and did not miss that again.

Sosuke went to the garden and thought of what should do, where he met Leo-san.  Leo-san told him the famous lines in Forest Gum, "Life is like a box of chocolate." and encouraged Sosuke to do what he would like to.  So Sosuke made up his mind and went downstairs to meet Hikaruko.

He found Hikaruko was in a room with the doctor.  The doctor proposed to Hikaruko.  Hikaruko said, "I am happy that eventually someone propose to me..."  Sosuke heard so and left the restaurant with total sadness.  However, Hikaruko did not finish her conversation, "however, I have already met someone who I like.  So I have to let you down, sorry."  Hikaruko went out and tried to find Sosuke, but she could not find him.

The next morning in the ham company, the boss found that Sosuke was in the office early in the morning.  He told the boss that he did not tell Hikaruko what he thought and he would give up.  Then he went out to work.  The boss felt sorry for him.

In the night, Sosuke went back and met Hikaruko's manager in front of the company.  He was there to pay for the party and he would like to talk with Sosuke.  He asked Sosuke why Sosuke did not accept Hikaruko.  Sosuke told him what he thought and asked, "what will you do if you were me?"  The manager was speechless....

Sosuke went back to the office and found Hikaruko was on the chair in the office, while the telephones rang.  Just like the first time they met, Sosuke plugged all the lines.  Hikaruko woke up and said, "welcome back."  "Why are you here?  You will get cold."  Sosuke said.  "Sorry, I am waiting for you and get asleep."  Hikaruko answered.  "I was outside when the doctor was proposing to you.  I am sorry about listening to your conversation.  However, I am happy that you will marry to the doctor."  Sosuke told Hikaruko.  "No, you misunderstand that."  Hikaruko would like to explain.  "No, the doctor is a nice person and he is suitable for you.  You should marry him."

Sosuke gave a cup of coffee to Hikaruko.  "I learnt a lot from you, Sosuke."  "Me too."  They talked about how they met, how they shared the time.  Hikaruko asked, "if we meet again, will we..."  "No, I don't think so."  Sosuke said firmly.  "I will be Hikaruko's fan forever."  Sosuke told Hikaruko.  So Hikaruko left and went to see the doctor.  She cried.  The doctor let her in and said, "what's happened?  Come and tell me."

Sosuke?  He thought of the happy time with Hikaruko and was sad that they could not be together, he cried.

It was raining heavily outside......
 
 

This is the first time Totoro try to write down the story.  However, my Japanese is still weak.  Please forgive me if there is any mis-interpretation.  Besides, I only write down bits of the story, not a detailed one.  Sorry.
