This special was just after Tsuyoshi’s “Teacher, don’t you know that?” Tsuyoshi’s image as a “good guy”, “husband” and “teacher” was quite successful. As a result, can he be a good “Papa”?

Two kids were invited to spend three days and two nights with Tsuyoshi. (Haha, quite strange that the mothers would let their sons to… But if the Papa is Tsuyoshi or other SMAP members WA I hope I had a son ne! ^^)

Tsuyoshi was waiting his two sons at the JR station. They should spend few days at the countryside. Ok, let’s learn about the kids. The elder one was 7 year old let me name him “Wohung”. The smaller one was 4 years old and his name is “Kentai” (then Tsuyoshi always called him “Ken”.)

Maybe the elder boy already knew Tsuyoshi; he was interested in Tsuyoshi and happy to follow him. But the smaller boy, he was a little bit afraid and shy, and he just kept on counting his little fingers and did not greet Tsuyoshi. Tsuyoshi explained to them that he would be their “papa” for the coming two days. Wohung said, “Odosan?” (Father in Japanese.) “No, no, I prefer you to call me papa.” “Papa.” Wohung greeted Tsuyoshi. “Ken? I am your papa.” “Two times two equals to…” Little Ken did not response to Tsuyoshi and kept on learning maths, haha, this little boy, making Tsuyoshi a little bit “set back”.

They had to take 40 minutes to the village. As the weather was good, all the three of them got asleep in the bus, haha, and so kawai! When the approached to their house (yes, a house!) Tsuyoshi noted that his name and the two boys’ names were on the “Name” of the house, haha, the crew was so considerate. “Let’s go into our house!” Tsuyoshi took the two sons in. “Wa, quite large ne!”

The two kids hurried to the TV and started playing video games. Tsuyoshi walked around and to the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator and looked at his watch. “Um… too early for the dinner, Er… Beer, great, let me take one first.” Haha, Tsuyoshi then realized that he shouldn’t do so, he was a little bit embarrassed and told the crew, “Sorry, I am too thirsty.” Ok, ok, take one la!

Papa watched the kids played TV games. As Ken was small, Wohung defeated him. He was unhappy and threw away the control. (Actually Ken is a very cute boy!) Tsuyoshi told Ken that he should try again. He started to teach Ken how to defeat Wohung and encouraged Ken. However, Wohung still won. Tsuyoshi said, “oh, you lost.” Oops! Papa, you hurt Ken. Ken was very unhappy!

Wohung then lay on Tsuyoshi and played with him. Tsuyoshi lay on the floor and said that he was tired, and “ah… being a father is really hard… My father is so great.” Haha, Tsuyoshi!

The three of them then headed for fishing. They rode the bicycles. The results were good, they got 4 fishes. Both kids were happy. (But Totoro thought that Tsuyoshi should keep an eye on Wohung while fishing. This boy went on a bamboo bridge while the water was hurry, quite dangerous ne. At that time, Tsuyoshi was teaching Ken how to fish.)

They went to the supermarket and bought some food for dinner. They also bought three bars of ice fruit juice (that kind of ice in plastic tube/bag, you have to “suck” them, know what I’m talking about?) Haha, they were so relaxing. They just sat on the floor (street) outside the supermarket! The two kids got dirty on their hands while eating/drinking the ice fruit juice. Tsuyoshi told them to clean them on the clothes, as he would then watch the clothes. (Ha? A correct way of teaching?)

When they’re back, they started playing with watch. Wohung used the tube to shoot Ken. As Ken was small, he could not defend. Tsuyoshi then got a water gun, and asked Ken to attack Wohung together. Oops! Wohung shot Ken in close distance and the water hurt Ken. Ken cried loudly! Tsuyoshi hurried to him and check. Oh, the game ended.

Tsuyoshi then took off the kids’ clothes for watching. (Oops, Totoro noted that there was only a towel around the wrist of Tsuyoshi… woo…)

Wohung asked Tsuyoshi to teach him “Japanese fencing”. Sure no problem la, your papa is an expert in Japanese fencing. However, as Ken was too small, he found boring. Tsuyoshi, in order to take care of both of them, taught Ken to be the judge. Ok, Ken was happy and played together. Wa… really hard to be a papa ne! During the game, Ken forgot who was the winner on the first round. Tsuyoshi asked him to remember next time. The second time wa, “Papa is the winner.” “Papa? Haha, Ken, you eventually call me Papa.” Tsuyoshi was very happy.

Back to the house, Wohung played video game again. Tsuyoshi was watching him. (Actually he was tired and taking a rest ^^) Ken took out his drawing book and drew “Papa”. He then wanted to take it to Tsuyoshi, but he was shy and wouldn’t let Tsuyoshi look at it. Haha, this little boy is very cute!

Woo, woo, and bath time! Tsuyoshi washed Ken’s hair carefully, um, not bad ne! They then took the bath together. After that, he helped them to put on the clothes. “Wah, a little bit dizzy after all sorts of this.” Tsuyoshi said. Yes, you are tired.

Time to bed, Ken went to sleep first, then Wohung. Tsuyoshi wrote the daily before going to bed. Poor boy, he should be exhausted!

The next morning, Tsuyoshi found that Ken piss his pants. He asked Ken why he didn’t get up and go to the bathroom. Ken said he was too tired. Tsuyoshi taught Ken that he should remember to go to the bathroom and he should apologize. Before making the breakfast, Tsuyoshi caught Ken into his arms and taught him that he should go to the toilet. Oh, Tsuyoshi was so sweet!

Tsuyoshi prepared the breakfast, haha; it is too easy to our chef at Bistro SMAP. He then took Wohung and Ken to a school, as Wohung mentioned that he would like to learn how to play “flip back on the iron bar”. To Tsuyoshi, too easy as well as he was always good as sports. He taught Wohung how to do this and asked Wohung to practice.

Wohung tried a few times but still can’t do it; he would like to leave… Papa scolds him that he shouldn’t give up so early and should try again. Yes, boy, Ganbette! However, Wohung was a little bit thin and he couldn’t do it. Ken asked Wohung, “when you finish and we could go home?” “Till I learn it.” “Er? You must do so?” Haha, Ken just wanted to go back, he had nothing to do in the park la.

Tsuyoshi then taught Wohung that he should get the confidence to do so. Wohung was crying, as he was angry with himself that he still couldn’t do it. Tsuyoshi taught him again the right way. He blamed Wohung that he shouldn’t cry and should try harder. At last, Wohung couldn’t do it. Tsuyoshi preached him that he should try later and should not give up. He was so serious and really liked a father preaching the son.

Dinner time, ORDER… Tsuyoshi’s favor “curry”. Wohung liked it very much. But Ken WA, “ale!” Tsuyoshi used some vegetable and added some curry on it and asked Ken to try again. “Um…” “Why you don’t like this, not oishii?” “Er… no… the rice in white is oishii, but the curry in brown… Not good looking.” Haha, Tsuyoshi was defeated by a 4 years old boy! (Actually, Totoro think that Ken did not like curry, a small boy should like something sweet rather than hot.)

They played firework afterwards. Then sleep time again. Tsuyoshi tried to get the two boys closer to him, haha, so warm!

The next morning, he prepared the breakfast and told the sons that they have to leave after the meals. Three of them were not happy, as they have to leave… Tsuyoshi apologized to them that he didn’t know what the kids like to eat and his dishes may not fix them. He was so considerate.

Tsuyoshi took the two kids to the JR station. Tsuyoshi gave Wohung a paper and asked him to open it after he left. It is some words he left to his two sons. What did Tsuyoshi said? He encouraged Wohung to learn that “flipping” again and must have confidence to do so. He asked Ken not to be too picky on food and should eat everything. And wrote at the end “Papa yoli”.

While the train started, just like the movie, he ran after the train and shouted “Bye bye” to his sons. He then walked away… er… Tsuyoshi was crying? He rubbed his eyes… He must miss the kids so much.

Tsuyoshi then explained that he really miss the kids and found that he was not a good father at all. He should learn more. Tsuyoshi, don’t blame yourself, to us, you already passed! Ganbette, you should learn from your parents, how they brought you up! ^^)

Note: Totoro watched this tape long time ago and have to watch it again. For the first time, I thought that the program was very sweet, Tsuyoshi was a good father. But for the second time, haha really found out that Tsuyoshi should learn more. But as he is still young, long and many to learn ne!

As the program is showing how the three of them spent the days, it may be boring, Gome!
